GMT Magazine teamed up with the prestigious fragrance brand Fragrance du Bois and photographer Alexis Reynaud to show off timepieces by Armin Strom, Richard Mille, Bulgari, de Grisogono, Jaeger-Lecoultre, Louis Vuitton, Piaget and Bovet Watches Shop Replica in a rich, woody olfactory universe.
Fragrance du Bois takes its inspiration from the richest fragrances in nature, with its master perfumiers elaborating fragrances for five generations, born from the French traditions that originated in Grasse in the 17th century.
Spinning after each 24 hours, the world has a hand over it which suggests either another time zone or can be set for a synchronized 24-hour hand. The hand and the world can move independently, and that’s of course component of the inherent complexity of this system. Moving the 24-hour GMT hand over the world is where more interesting fun comes in, since it’s connected to the “double drum” reference city selector placed only over the globe system. This is perhaps one of my favorite complications in the Bovet Watches Ladies Replica Recital 18 Shooting Star.When you press at the summit, the mention city advances. To get all 24 major time zones, there is a drum which sits inside of the outer drum. This makes more sense once you see it in performance – and it is super cool. I have always liked rolling drum-style screens, but they are quite uncommon. Christophe Claret is a specific fan of these and designed such drums into Jean Dunand watches (lastest one here), and all the present timepieces from Maîtres du Temps. In the Bovet Recital 18 Shooting Star, Bovet made these carefully moving drums to function along with the indicator arrow to signify the next time zone in conjunction with the GMT hand which moves over the world. It works amazingly well and is elegant in its execution in addition to that. In addition, playing with the system by pressing at the crown is most likely simply too temping a way of overworking the motion and potentially prematurely breaking something, since the owner of a Recital 18 will likely be playing with this complication a long time.
The creations of Fragrance Du Bois are based on an essence of Oud from the company’s own plantations in Aquilaria. Unique and distinctive, this liquid gold is the perfect embodiment of luxury.
