The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle for Hausmann
In 1854, in Rome, Vacheron Constantin , the maison founded in Geneva september 17th 1755 and oldest watch replica manufacturer, sold its first timepieces to Mr Innocenzo Ricci , whose workshop would have grown up soon after under the Hausmann & Co. insignia. That day marked the beginning of a proficuous commercial partnership, the most enduring among Vacheron Constantin ’s partnerships.
Just to celebrate their 160th anniversary , Vacheron Constantin and Hausmann & Co. unveil an exclusive new timepiece made in just 16 pieces, each for any ten years of their partnership, along with an exhibition of some historical timepieces.
This limited edition model is the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Hausmann , that features a small second complication at 6 with, printed, the year 1854 , a brown chocolate dial and the minute scale customized with the lettering “ H&Co ” along with the signature “ Hausmann & Co. ” on the case back.
During the fair, that took place in Via del Babuino, Rome, between october the 20 th and the 25 th have been also shown to the public 2 timepieces out of 40 to have been made just with the Hausmann & Co. signature.
The first one, that dates back to 1908 , is a pocket watch replica in rose gold and white lacquered dial that features some of the most valuable complications in haute horlogerie such as a minute repeater and a grande sonnerie.
The second one is a chronograph made in 1941 in yellow gold and silver dial with the wording Hausmann & Co. , Arabic numerals and gold baton indexes, chrono counter at 3 and small seconds at 9, external minute counter and tachy scale base 1000.
Those who have been lucky enough to attend the fair had the privilege to admire the very first pocket watch replica to be ever made by Vacheron Constantin founder, Jean-Marc Vacheron , in 1755 , embellished with his signature: J. M. VACHERON A GENEVE .
