In our earlier announcement and detailed review of the new cheap replica Vacheron Constantin World Time, we showed a model with a new brown dial. The new Overseas Brown dials are now also extended to the 3 other new Vacheron Constantin Overseas models: the Overseas Chronograph, the Overseas Automatic/Date and the Overseas Ladies Automatic. Here is our quick pictorial guide to the new dials.
Perhaps, it is not a coincidence that the new brown dials are available on all the new Overseas models with the in-house manufactured movements. These new movements, namely the C.2460 WT in the World Time, the C.5200 in the Chronograph, the C.5100 in the Automatic/Date and the C.5300 in the Ladies Automatic, are well designed and finishing is top grade. And all bear the Poinçon de Genève and are fitted with easily interchangeable bracelets/straps,
VC Overseas World Time
We covered the brown dial in our detailed review here with live photographs. Shown below, is the VC promotional photograph of the Overseas World Time (Heures du Monde is French for Hours of the World). We have seen this brown dial in person, and it is a nice earthy hue. Though truth be told, we still came away preferring the blue dial on the Overseas World Time.
VC Overseas Chronograph
We covered the Overseas Chronograph in a detailed review here. In essence, this is exactly the same treatment as with the version in the blue dial, which remains our firm favorite. The brown is applied as a lacquer, and is translucent, partially revealing the sunburst, snailed and velvety finishing on the dial. The play with light is beautiful. We have not seen this dial in person yet, although, we suspect we might still prefer the mesmerizing blue dialed version.
VC Overseas Automatic/Date
The new dial is translucent brown lacquered over a sunburst satin-finished base with velvet-finished flange.
VC Ladies Overseas Automatic
Like the others in this new brown series, the dial is translucent brown lacquered, sunburst satin-finished base with velvet-finished minute-track.
