Antiquorum Auctioneers, the world’s premier auctioneers of modern and vintage timepieces is looking forward to its first auction of the fall season on September 18 th at the Fuller Building in New York City.  The outstanding and varied selection includes exceptional examples of modern limited edition timepieces from leading brands such as Audemars Piguet, Jaeger -LeCoultre , IWC and Panerai . Prior to the auction organized by Antiquorum, previews will be held in Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York .

The highlight of the Antiquorum sale is the exquisite Audemars Piguet Platinum Skeletonized Tourbillon Minute Repeater Chronograph, Ref. 26270. Made in 2009, it is a very rare minute-repeating, wristwatch with visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, round button chronograph and 30 minute register. Accompanied by the original fitted wooden box, Certificate of Authenticity, guarantee and instruction manual.  Also offered with the lot is a wooden box in the shape of a grand piano with 3 sounding strings inside.

Jaeger-LeCoultre collectors will be competing for the Jaeger-LeCoultre, Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2, No. 04/75. Made in a limited edition of 75 pieces in pink gold circa 2008, this is a complicated and rare, reversible wristwatch with visible Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 174 with inclined two-cage multi-axis spherical tourbillon, 50 hour power reserve and 24-hour indication and “1000 Hours Control”. Accompanied by the original fitted box, guarantee certificate, certificate of origin, instruction booklet and magnifying glass.

IWC enthusiasts will be pleased to see two superb examples of the IWC Il Destriero Scafusia in the September auction:

The first example is an extremely fine and rare minute repeating, platinum wristwatch No. 34/125 with flying one-minute tourbillon regulator, square button split-seconds chronograph, registers, secular perpetual calendar and moon phases made circa 1997. Accompanied by a fitted box, guarantee, extra strap and booklet.

Made in a limited edition of 150 pieces in 2006 to commemorate the success of the Maserati MC12 in the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers’ Cup, this is a platinum wristwatch with twin white gold and palladium alloy barrels, black carbon movement with blue anodized aluminum bridges, 10-day power reserve, visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, chronograph, register, and tachometer.

Made in 1962, it is an extremely rare, center seconds, stainless steel electronic wristwatch with the “Yankees” logo imprint on the dial. It is accompanied by the original box.
